From The Voice of Broadway by Dorothy Kilgallen:
FUNNY ABOUT that Roald Dahl story which caused such a stir on Sunday night’s TV sets. Originally it was scheduled to be broadcast at 9 p.m., but the powers that be decided that was too early, and children might be scared, so it was moved to 10 o’clock. Judging from the roar of horrified protests, it was still too macabre, and plenty of juveniles were watching . . . Peggy Lee and Bob Calhoun are loving every minute of it.
