Flights of FantasyWhile I waited for my turn to go into the Gallery, I decided to wander around the rest of the Buckinghamshire County Museum. Coincidentally, the very first exhibit featured artwork done by a local group that was inspired by Dahl's writing. (Click here to read text.)

Dreams...This corner of the room seemed to be devoted to the idea of dreams and featured quotes from "The BFG" on the wall. (Click here to read text.)

Monsters...This area featured quotes from "James and the Giant Peach" and tried to evoke a sense of monsters and fantastic creatures. (Click here to read text.)

Flying...This wall featured a lovely quote from "Rhyme Stew" about flying towards safety and grace on silver wings... (Click here to read text.)

Birds...This wall featured pictures and masks of birds along with an accompanying quote from "The Twits." (Click here to read text.)
